It's a planning estimate based on industry averages — not a guarantee. The defaults (60% close rate on answered calls, 70% AI recovery rate) come from industry surveys and early Servinix data. Your actual numbers will vary based on your close rate, average job value, and how aggressively you pursue missed-call follow-ups today. Every number on the calculator is adjustable.
Why 70% recovery rate with AI?+
AI call handling recovers calls that would have otherwise gone to voicemail. Not every recovered call converts — some are misdials, some are tire-kickers, some are competitors doing research. The 70% figure is the proportion that become usable leads (scheduled appointments, qualified quotes, or booked jobs). Conservative compared to some marketing claims that cite 90%+ — we prefer honest.
Are emergency after-hours calls included in this calculation?+
No — the calculator intentionally excludes after-hours emergencies. Emergency calls have near-100% miss rates without an AI agent (nobody's answering at midnight) AND typically carry 1.5–2× standard pricing. If we included them, the numbers would be higher but less defensible. The calculator reflects normal business-hours call volume only.
