See why a job was placed with a technician

After you optimize a day, you can open any proposed job to see why it was given to that technician and why other technicians weren't picked.

Before you start

You need dispatch access and an Optimize day plan open on the board.

Steps

1. Go to Dispatch › Board and run Optimize day.
2. Click a dashed proposed block on a technician's row.
3. Read the Why this placement panel: the job name and time, the reasons for this technician, and the Why not the others section.
4. Keep working on the board while the panel is open, or click away to close it.

Result / verify

The panel names the job in plain words and shows clear reasons for each technician, and the board and plan bar stay visible and usable.
