Review an Optimize day plan before you apply it

When you optimize a day on the dispatch board, you can see which jobs are locked, which changes are only proposed, and whether the plan is still current before you apply it.

Before you start

You need dispatch access, and the day must have jobs to optimize.

Steps

1. Go to Dispatch › Board and choose Day.
2. Pick the day you want to optimize.
3. Click Optimize day, then click Optimize to build a plan.
4. Find jobs with a lock badge. These are already in progress and stay with their technician.
5. Review the dashed violet blocks. These are proposed placements, not changes yet.
6. Open Not placed to see jobs the plan couldn't fit, listed by job.
7. If the board says the plan is out of date, discard it and optimize again.
8. When you're happy with the plan, click Apply, or press Esc to discard it.

Result / verify

Jobs already in progress keep their place and their technician, each row's plan count includes them, and you are only offered Apply on a plan that matches the current day.
