Change the owner login email

2 min read

The email you sign in with is set on your user record. Your own profile page shows it but does not let you edit it. An admin changes it from the Users page. If you cannot sign in, Servinix support makes the change for you.

Before you start

  • Your profile page shows Email cannot be changed. This is expected. Change the email from the Users page instead.
  • The Business email in Settings → Account is your company contact email. It is not your sign-in email, and changing it does not change how you sign in.
  • Use an email address you can open. You may need it to sign in.

Steps: change it yourself

  1. Sign in and go to Settings, then open Users.
  2. Find the owner's row and open its action to edit the user (Edit User).
  3. Under Contact, change the Email Address.
  4. Select Save Changes.

If you cannot make the change

Contact Servinix support if you cannot sign in, the old email no longer works, or the save is refused. Only support can change the owner login email in those cases.

  1. Contact support. See How to contact Servinix support. Support is staffed Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM ET. See Support hours.
  2. Send the details below.

What to send support

  • Your company name
  • The current owner login email
  • The new email you want
  • A way for support to check that you own the account

Result / verify

The new email shows in the Email column of the Users page. Sign out and sign in with the new email to confirm.

Troubleshooting

You cannot edit the email on your profile page. Use the Users page, as above.

The email is already in use. Another user already has that address. Use a different address, or contact support.
