Follow a vehicle that is stopped or idling

Follow keeps the live map centred on one vehicle as it moves. You can start following a vehicle that is stopped — at a customer's driveway, at a red light or idling at a job — and following stays on when a vehicle you are already following comes to a stop.

Before you start

• Open the Live page. Follow is available from the vehicle card, the map card and the cluster list.

Steps

1. Open Live and find the vehicle you want to watch, either on the map or in the vehicle list.
2. Select Follow on that vehicle's card. You do not need to wait for it to start driving.
3. To stop, select the control again — it reads as active while following is on.

Result / verify

The map stays centred on the vehicle you chose. The Follow control stays on the card when the vehicle stops with its engine running or parks, so you never lose it mid-journey. If a vehicle cannot be followed — for example because it is offline and not reporting a position — the control is shown greyed out with a short reason instead of disappearing.
