What your customer sees in the booking confirmation email
1 min read
When a visit is booked, your customer is emailed a confirmation. It names the service address and the assigned technician, and gives them a link to track the appointment and add it to their calendar.
Before you start
- Make sure the job has a service address and an assigned technician before the confirmation goes out — both are read from the job and printed in the email.
- Check your organisation name, address and phone number under Settings → Account, since they appear in the message your customer receives.
Steps
- Book a visit for a customer as usual.
- Open the confirmation email that arrives, or ask the customer what they received.
- Select Track your appointment to open the customer's live tracking page. No sign-in is needed — the link carries its own access.
- Select Add to calendar to add the visit to Google Calendar or to download it for Apple Calendar and Outlook.
Result / verify
The email reads with the full service address and the technician's name in place of blanks, and both links open rather than showing "Invalid link" or a missing page. If a customer needs to change or cancel the visit, they contact you using the phone number in the email — the message no longer offers self-service reschedule and cancel buttons.
