Get technician hours for payroll
2 min read
Servinix records when each technician starts and ends a shift. You can download those hours and give them to your payroll provider or accountant.
Servinix does not calculate pay or run payroll. It does not apply pay rates, overtime rules, or deductions. The report gives you hours only. You enter them into your own payroll system.
Before you start
- Technicians must start and end their shift in the Servinix Go app. See Start and end a shift.
- You need access to Reports. Downloading a PDF or emailing the report needs full Reports access, which Admin and Supervisor users have by default. Ask your account owner if you cannot see these options.
Steps
- In the left-hand navigation, open Reports.
- Open the Technician category, then select Timesheet.
- Choose the dates you want to cover with the date range control.
- Check the summary tiles at the top. Time on Shift shows the total hours technicians ended themselves. Auto-Closed, Not Confirmed and Still Open show hours that need your attention (see below).
- Review the table. It has one row per technician per day, with Shift Start, Shift End, and Total on Shift.
- Open the Download menu and choose CSV · Every Row to get every row for the range. If you have full Reports access, you can also choose PDF · This View, or use Email to send the report.
Result / verify
You have a file with each technician's shift start, shift end, and total time on shift for each day. Times are shown in the time zone named under the table.
Check these before you send hours to payroll
- Still open. A shift that was started and never ended shows "— open —" and adds no time to the totals. Ask the technician what time they finished before you send hours to payroll. Technicians can edit their own entries in the app; see Log time entries.
- Auto-closed. If a technician forgets to end a shift, the system closes it overnight. Those hours appear under Auto-Closed, Not Confirmed, not in Total on Shift. Confirm the real hours with the technician.
- More than one shift in a day. The total is the sum of the shifts, not the time from the first start to the last end.
- Breaks and travel. The Timesheet report shows shift time. For break, travel, and job segments, see Log time entries.
Troubleshooting
I cannot see Reports or the Timesheet report. Your role does not include Reports access. Ask your account owner.
The hours look wrong. See Time entries showing incorrect durations.
