Find a slot that fits a technician's shift

Use Find a Slot on the dispatch board to place an urgent or unscheduled job. Suggestions now stay inside each technician's shift hours.

Steps

1. Go to Dispatch › Board and open the Day view for the day you want.
2. On the job you want to place, press Find a Slot.
3. Read the Slot proposal bar. It shows the technician, the time, the drive and how other stops move.
4. If the proposal looks right, press Apply. If it doesn't, discard it.

Result / verify

The proposed time always falls within the technician's shift. If no time fits, you'll see a message saying no slot fits instead of a suggestion. After you apply, open the job's history to see the move with the old time and the new time.
